You know temps can vary greatly between each individual CPU? You have to test both coolers on the excact same CPU. Your or his, in order for this to be a cooler comparison.

It may still need a tiny voltage bump to be stable. I have not tested it for longer than a couple hours at that voltage yet.

I want to know if there's a significant difference between the stock A50 fan vs the Akasa Viper fan you mounted? I ask this because I really want a fan that has adjustable fan speed so it doesn't run at 2000 rpm all the time.

The viper is perfect! it uses 4 pin pwm and is perfectly controlled by the motherboard. The stock fan was 2 speeds, high and low. I use it as a case fan now hooked into a fan controller.

so with a fan upgrade it not cheaper than a hyper 212+. and i have test bolth with all stock equipment the hyper 212+ wins with a 5c advantage.
