Thanks Zodac! We love OCN and hate WU-primers.

P.S. note the last 5 letters of the troublemaker's name...phony

I registered just so I could reply to this thread. We who are on the folding@EVGA (and can be verified through username) also do not like people who prime their WU. It does not matter if they are bragging about it or not, it is frowned on either way. Now if he is saying he started the work units early I think that is fine, as long as he does not do anything to prevent them from finishing when they are ready. I have already switched my machines over to EVGApes (can not run BigADV going) and will continue to let them run throughout the competition. I did this just to make sure I did not miss the start of the race.

Here is the official EVGA stance on priming WUs.

Now lets keep it honest, civil, and have a good competition with a great cause in mind.

And Zodiac, in response to your message under your avatar I must mention that one of my favorite satire bands (Arrogant Worms) is from Canada. Although I also must point out that Celine Dion is a mark against the place.

We've got nothing against Evga here; merely people going around stating that they're priming WUs. A lot of us have also switched over to out CC name as well, so no problem with that.

Some assurance from other Evga members that they're not all doing it was also helpful.

Here's to the next 10 days of Folding!

Hey now, I made no assertions to that effect. I am just implying that I can easily be found on EOC by my forum name. I do not know who that person is, nor do I care. If he is cheating then he is not welcome in the EVGA CC team. Let him fold for someone else. (as long as he folds).

It is statements like this, and earlier where you refer to us on EVGApes in the third person (distancing yourself from us) that makes me believe you are not a part of EVGApes.

Example of distant language

Language use tells a lot about a person's true stance. His/hers indicates a distant stance toward EVGA. The type an outsider would take. If it were I talking about people helping out EVGA's folding team I would refer to it as us, our, my. This inclusive language shows my stance is supportive of EVGA and count myself among their ranks, whereas the distant language given above shows more neutrality.

My take on the person. He is a troll looking to stir up trouble. If he is a part of EVGApes then it is odd that he does not include himself as part of the team by use of his language. Other than that I make no assertions as to whom he is folding for.
