Need help overclocking my 6950's

Hey guys, Im having a bit of a problem with my OC, I used MSI AB but when i set to OC at start up my PC will BSOD. I also tried theCCC registry fix to OC via overdrive but it only changes the slider limits for one card, and I have to set my voltage trough the card's BIOS in order to gain higher clocks, so I guess it would require a flash.

Instead of having this unstable software OC, could I just mod my bios trough RBE and flash my cards back with the modded clocks? do you guys recommend this?

-PS I already found my stable settings [950/1350 1.25]

EDIT:
I haven't used RBE in a while, but I do know the basics.

-Can I just changed the 3D settings?

-Is that the only voltage setting I have to worry about and can I just type "1.250"?

-Can I use the Look up table in the Fan settings to set a custom fan profile?

They do, but they can run at decently higher clock without pushing the card too far. So why not?

I did registry hack and it works fine on both cards. At stock volts, I got up to 920/1400. You will need to make sure you repeat the entries for 000 and 001 for it work on both cards. See the third post in the thread below.

http://www.overclock.net/amd-ati/966...-ab-trixx.html

If you want to go 950 with a bit higher voltage, I would do the following:
1) Do registry hack to increase CCC limits.
2) Use RBE only to mod BIOS to only increase volts.
3) Use MSI AB to set a custom fan profile and monitoring.

rbe is useless right now with a 6950. You will bsod if you change anything with rbe. I guess it's something that ati's driver checks for.

Is that something that happened with 11.4 drivers? I saw guys in this forum use RBE to bump voltages. At that time we were using 11.2 drivers.

I cant thank you enough man, this sounds really interesting even though im working with stock volts. Although, like BuddyDank said, I heard that RBE might mess up the BIOS, then again I flashed this card a little while ago to unlock the shaders and it worked just fine.

-ps
Where exactly do I change the voltage settings on RBE?

EDIT:
I'm on CCC 11.3 so far, I have yet to move to 11.4

RBE will modify your bios just fine. ATI's drivers just won't let you boot with that new bios. I do not know if this is different between versions of CCC, drivers etc. I've just been trying to work on my 6950 for 2 days without success.

The voodoo guy seemed to be able to do it using RBE. Maybe he knows something we do not. Worth a shot sending him a PM.
