DDWRT MTU size issue

Thread Starter
So I want to increase my frame size on my network, but the last time I adjusted the mtu on the router, the network went almost unresponsive, so I reverted to the auto setting. If anyone has some advice that would be great so I could use the larger frames within my gigiabit network.

Double check and make sure your switch is capable of jumbo frames.

General rule of thumb is 1500b max for MTU (1492 for PPPOE {dsl})

Leave it at 1500

Go to speedguide.net and run the analyzer. They'll explain everything in detail there for each setting
