Quick Question about my cpu and motherboard.

Thread Starter
So my board GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD7-B3 has 4 PCI Express 2.0 x16. When I will plug 2 things into them they will run at x16 x16 x0 x0.....However my CPU Core i5 2500K LGA 1155 Boxed Processor supports PCI Express Revision 2.0 and PCI Express Configurations 1x16, 2x8. Is this a good deal?

If you use two video cards, they will run at 8x and 8x. This is Intel's intentional handicap because it's the "mainstream" platform. This will apply regardless, unless the board itself has a separate chipset to add more lanes (there's some nforce 200 or something or another which does this on some boards from what I recall).
