Sth I know about SB-E 8 cores CPU

Thread Starter
I just created a new account (to avoid being tracked) in my company to demystify sth about Sandy Bridge Extreme 8 core 16 thread CPU.

This screenshot was taken by me last month. Due to this thread, some people (or most people) always believe what big company said to public. "We won't put 8 cores CPU to market. We even don't have them developed yet!" I got 7 ES pieces of them from Taiwan and I'm pretty sure that no one has clear idea if these 8-core CPUs will be launched or not this year! Why? Because it totally depends on AMD's Bulldozer---the performance of the product of the competitor. Need more explanations? No.

This chip is not fake. It's real. It's LGA 2011 chip.
however, the seller is somewhat not honest at all.
Basically, the TDP of the 1.6GHz one is 85W instead of 130W that he said.
I have 1.9GHz one which should be 95W and 2.4GHz one which may be 115W. And I have to say, actually, the TDP of some of these ES cpu has not been even defined clearly.

3. CPU-Z info is against the agreement. sorry.

4. i strongly recommend you guys don't buy ES cpus. there are not for sale/resale. by the big company's agreement.

5. how about X79 motherboards? As what I know, at least 3 mobo manufacturers including A******,M******,G****** have already had the design completed. But I use the original motherboard came from the big company itself...

6. i7 990x will be beaten down. biggrin.gif:D:p

Take a picture of the chip next to a piece of paper that has "sbe" and the current date/time written on it.
