The only thing you can play with is the BCLK on non-k chips. As little as 5MHz can cause sata read/write errors. I wouldn't touch it with a 39 1/2 foot pole.

Most regret getting the non K version. It's worth paying the extra what, $15-$20 for it ?

I hear both sides, some say they can overclock decent (or using turbo?) and some say (like the last post) they don't overclock well.

ahh same boat as me, but when i bought it the store didnt have any of the k version so i just went with the non k frown.gif

Assuming it is a P67 board in use, the turbo multipliers can be adjusted up from 34 to 38 for 4 cores so you can overclock by 400mhz without touching the blck.

I have the non K and I do regret it. But I am running nearly 4 ghz at 1.25v
There is much much more tweaking I still need to do

There is hardly any more tweaking to do to get any more speed from that chip. You are really at the limit now. At most you might get a few more mhz with the blck but that is not recommended if you value your other components.
