Thread Starter
HI guys,

i'm going for a new build, and got 450$ for processor, motherboard, heatsink & ram.

i got the processor selected its i5 2500k for 225$. now i need a good overclocking board & ram.

I will be using 2 graphics card on max but normally i use one.

i need at lest 4 GB ram.

and yes it will be great if the motherboard is from asus or gigabyte.

thanks in advance.

anoob built a good one, but it isn't going to get any cheaper than that.

My cooler cost 90 dollars and it's extremely good. I would suggest sticking with the stock cooler, which is more than capable with no OC, until you can save up for a good cooler.

You won't hurt anything stock if you don't OC. Plus, if you're just going to be gaming, a stock 2500k will not bottleneck your GPU and you won't really need the OC.

Actually he can hit 4,3-4,8 GHz on stock cooler. I'm not sure how much/if he has to increase the Vcore.

Anyway, OP, I would also recommend anoob's build and then get a good CPU heatsink later ..

If you can get to microcenter the 2500k should be cheaper there.

Close enough to budget.
Exactly what I'd recommend.
Use the stock heatsink until you can save up for an aftermarket one.

- 2500k
- ASRock P67 Extreme4 (its pretty much a asus and costs a little less than the Pro)
- CM 212+ for the heat sink
- Ram, just get some ripjaws, what ever is on sale

Unless you care about the integrated graphics and SSD caching, I wouldn't bother waiting.
