it isn't overheating, i know that much as i was able to stress test it for 2 hours with only a max of ~60 ish degrees and it won't even boot with my 500W PSU

I had a similar issue recently and it was due to a short in my system. Use a monitoring tool such as OCCT to see what your +12v rail is like. If it is way out of spec like mine was then you probably have a short somewhere maybe on the power cable for the HDD.

I had a TX-750 that was dying on me recently, only lasted 2 years until it started giving me the same problems you are describing.

If it did, try unplugging it and see what happens.
