Recommend me a $100 Mobo - Page 2

so what I'm hearing is for $100ish you can only get a good 4+1phase if you want the newest 870 chipset? is 4+1,6+1,8+1 phase only pertain to cpu overclocking? if so if I do only small OCing to be safe, will a 4+1 phase be sufficient for my needs for a budget mobo at $100ish?

really running any AMD 6 core on a 4+1 is not really recommended. 6+1 and 8+1 are better because they have more VRMs to feed power to the cpu. the fewer you have the more current that has to be run through each one, which leads to hotter VRMs and possibly failures.

If so, that would mean that looking on a $100ish budget for a mobo wont net me the ideal setup for my 1055T X6 cpu right? at what price range would I see a good 6+1 or 8+1 phase mobo?

Biostar TA890FXE has 4+2 phases and they are high quality. I wouldn't be afraid of that board.

Here is an asus board just over a $100 also to give you an idea-look at the specs on this one and even the biostar one too, too give you an idea. If your not looking for high end boards theses are good ones, the asus is a 8+2 phase.

So what I am seeing when comparing the two motherboard, Biostar seem to have it for Crossfire more and have a newer Chipset while Asus have USB 3.0, 8+2 phase(does this allow me to OC my CPU much more?) and better DDR3 OCing capability?

Try looking at that revew once, the biostar is a good board too, i am an Asus fan, always have been, so i guess i,m bias. This asus board is not a high end and will not give you cross fire like high end boards, but if you just want a good board around this price range it would for sure fit your needs. And a reveiw on the biostar as well. Remeber though there are lots of reveiws on both boards.
