Welcome,
I'll just leave this right here.

Once you review the guides, come back with specifics. You should get a OK OC with that Chip/board combo but know that you are starting with a pretty weak hardware combination, so don't expect anything extreme.

welcome to the forum
this is a very basic explanation of overclocking

unlink your ram. this means keep it at stock speed (eg. 667mhz. 800mhz etc..)

its basic maths. your E6550 is rated at 1333mhz. you always divide this number by 4 so 1333/4= 333, this is your fsb. (or cpu frequency)
then your processor (cpu) has a multiplier of 7 (or cpu ratio)
so 333 x 7 = 2331mhz or 2.3GHz

can you raise the fsb? yours is now 333. try rising it to 350
boot into windows
download realtemp and coretemp (google them)
install and run them
then download intel burn test (ibt) and run it.
have a look in task manager and notice how much free ram is listed.

in ibt set threads to 2 (for 2 cores) and then click on custom ram and enter an amount just below the free amount.
eg. i have 2520mb free ram. so i enter 2500 into the custom ram.
run the test for 5 passes.
keep an eye on temps (do not let it go over 65.c)

if test runs fine, go back into bios, and change frequency (fsb) to 370 and repeat the tests.
keep doing this in 20mhz steps until windows will not boot. then just go back a step (remove 20 from the fsb) to the last stable frequency,
or
just raise the cpu voltage a couple of levels. it should now boot.
its a balancing act, higher voltages will get you higher fsb, but it will also give you higher temps.

THE MAX TEMP FOR A E6550 IS 72.C.
TRY TO KEEP IT BELOW 60.C FOR 24HR USE

the trick is to do this step by step, just take your time

get the cpu maxed before increasing the ram speed

edit. as you live in Egypt, your ambient temps can be quite high, so keep an eye on your cpu temps

Unsafe is using voltages that are too high and/or insufficient cooling. 65nm CPU like yours can take up to 1.5 VCore without worries if you're cooling it properly. Look for a guide on your board to check for P31 safe ranges. Does your board have heastinks on the MOSFETs?

http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherb...d-mosfets.html

If they are bare like that, you could have danger pushing higher volts/OC.

wow i had one of those cpus back when they were first released . i had it on a asus p5b board i got it up to 3.5ghz . dont remeber the settings i need to check the forums i was on at that time .check to see if you have the same G0 . crank it to 1.35v and start rasing your fsb . i think i had to manually set my pcie speeds in bios and lower your ram speeds for now . not sure i forget been a long time lol .as for the cooler get the hyper 212 plus . even the tx3 is good i had the rebranded one before i got my h50 and had the same oc. temps were high 70s witht he tx3 though but still capable of cooling it lol
