Don't base and make contracts between the i7 920 and a sandy bridge system lol.

Not sure if serious.

The fact that he has a H50 in his sig kind of tells you if he is serious or not.

Just wanted to note that on friday i got my noctua D14 and a new case HAF 932 advanced.

I previous ran stock i7 920 at 2,66 with speedstep 2.8 @ TEMPs idle: 55c and 30 min of prime it went up to 93c and rising so i aborted that. So no overclock possiblity with stock i7 920 atleast not with my thermaltake case that i had.

Now i am running in HAF 932 advanced with noctua D14 at 1.3 cpu volts on 1366 board with max temps after 18h of prime 95 of 69c at ambient of 20c and with LINX max mem with problemsize 20k 30 runs it hit 73 c max.

So just so u know not all noctua are bad But i see your new cooler is doing fine just thought i put this in tho. allthough i have HT off since i am not doing advanced calcs or anything so that lowers my temps aswell.

With HT on you will see around 80c full load. It does increase the temps by a lot.
