Actually no, folding hardly uses any network bandwidth at all, and even then ONLY when downloading / uploading a work unit. Folding on your GPU will cause (almost) everything on the screen to "lag out", which could be mistaken for internet issues.
The only other thing this could be is if you had a terrible upload speed and multiple clients were trying to upload their works units at once. Do you know what kind of connection you have at your office?
Ex: Here I have a graph of my bandwidth usage at work. I marked where WU's got uploaded at night when nobody was around, barely a blip on the graph.Edited by Finrond - 5/4/11 at 9:50am
