That doesn't involve throwing in more cores, so if I had to guess.. nope. Maybe the better question is, can those ATi engineers help with AMD's CPU R&D at all
? Stuck with BD-like architecture for the next 3 years, with maybe 1 die shrink a year late if AMD is keeping up with its schedule.
I might as well get SB at this point, and upgrade to Ivy Bridge or Rockwell in a couple years. Not that Bulldozer won't be competitive(it will), but there's no way AMD will be close in performance:watt(or per $) when IB releases.Edited by jrbroad77 - 5/5/11 at 5:02am
