SATA power is the connector that is black that you pictured, depending on the PSU, it will be connected hardwired (if its not modular) or comes with it (if its modular). Yes you can use it.

Most, if not all, modern PSU's come with native SATA power cables, meaning there would be no need for that adapter.

You won't need it. As we're trying to tell you, when you buy a new PSU it will have SATA cables already, just pick one and plug it into your HDD. That's it, you won't need any other cable or adapter. It will work fine with the SATA cable coming off of your new PSU.

Yes, it's the right thing you need. Even if this particular psu seems out of stock at the moment

Alright, got it.

And ya, the power supply I posted is in stock in a local computer shop. If my current computer wasn't an entry level build, I would be ordering a Seasonic or a Corsair.

Thanks again.

any psu made in the last like 6 years should come with atleats 4 of those ends built onto the psu.

but as far as that adapter itself no they do not incude them with psu's ussaly only with a sata HDD or ODD

One more question, this is my motherboard:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=G41M-VS2

it states it uses a 4-pin ATX12V connector, but the power supply I want uses a 4+4 pin ATX connector.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-042-_-Product

will it still work? or do I need to find a power supply that uses the standard 4pin ATX?
