Asus p8p67 Rev.3 AI Suite II help - frozen

I just finished building my first computer. Its been pretty stable for a week, so I decided to try OC'ing using the Asus AI Suite Software.

Seemed easy enough. I went to Auto Tune, then clicked the "fast" setting button. Then my computer re-boots.

On restart, the video card fan is spinning super fast and loud, there is clicking noise coming from the speaker and I get nothing on my screen. I reset the computer and try to enter Bios by pressing "del" and also try "f1" and I am stuck.

Any help here?

My rig:
a. CPU: I5 2500K ($180 - Microcenter)
b. Mobo: ASUS P8P67 Rev3.0 [newegg.com] ($135 @ Newegg)
c. GPU: XFX 4850 ($80-$30MIR=$50 @ Newegg)
d. Hard drive: 64gb Microcenter/ADATA A599 ($99 @ Microcenter)
e. Ram: 16gb G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 16000 ($135 @ Newegg)
f. PSU: XFX 650X: 650W, Semi-Modular, 80plus ($90-$10combo-$30MIR=$50 @ Newegg)
g. Case: Xion AXP-970 w/ 2 hot-swap HD sata ports [newegg.com] ($75 @ Newegg)
h: Optic LG DVD Sata ($17 @ microcenter)

Basically everyone here is going to tell you that software overclocking suites are garbage.

You need to reset the cmos, reseat everything and give it a try. Something is causing your computer to hang, and if the OC is unstable you need to reset that CMOS.

LOL, unfortunately I found this out AFTER my computer froze. doh.gif

Thanks for your help. I was able to get the computer unfrozen. I'm gonna manually OC.

But now, my computer is not waking up from sleep. It may have to do with my Adata 599 SSD card that I'm using, but it didn't do that before AI Suite messed up my computer.

Latest BIOS? I think they had problems with suspended states in the older BIOS'.

Don't know which BIOS I'm on, but will check it out. I'm guessing it should be pretty up to date since, I got the ASUS p8p67 rev.3.0 mobo....
