Honestly all I wish it had was 4G.

I bet you enjoy being old. If you're buying a new phone migght aswell buy a new phone.

Slightly off topic but .

Plain and simple Android just offers you more customization.

The android platform is really for the tinkers and people who like to screw around with their phone alot.

Stock Android is average in comparison to iOS.

I can tell you know i had a HTC Desire HD (Worst battery life on a phone ever , amongst other issues i had with it ) and it was not where near as fluent and smooth as the iOS, actually lagged quite a bit.

Unless you custom rom/root you really wont see any benefit of changing to a Android phone.

Droid X? Really?
August 2010 called they want their Mclouse back. 1ghz single core OMAP. Welcome to the future grandpa,

Sony. Ok so the arc is good, but I rather not wait for a few years after a software was released to finally use it.

HTC, still good but getting worse

Motorola, if youre a fan of locked bootloaders and eFuse (beginning annoyances of the Droid X) and don't mind waiting for upgrades (2.2 on the Atrix) and paying $800 for a $400 tablet then sure be my guest.

Samsung, touchwiz be damned all the Galaxy S line phones are amazing.
Someone clearly loves his Galaxy S phone... Guess he likes phone updates that can brick their phone, messed up hardware(GPS) along with data lockups. I would rather have a phone with a few bugs in the OS rather than hardware.

Sense sucks? Give it a try and you'll see why a lot of people actually like it but battery life is terrible. TouchWiz is a complete rip off of the iPhone maybe TouchWiz 4.0 will actually improve the Android experience instead of slow it down.

The only thing I like about Samsung phones are the AMOLED screens. Samsung lost my respect when they released a terrible phone called a "Moment"

Samsung Galaxy S2, who would of thought a new phone would be built better than an older phone?

Let's hope they don't release updates that ruin the phone or brick it like they did the first 2.2 updates for the Transform/Epic.

um... let me try an analogy here, lets say you are looking to upgrade your graphics card, and you've been looking at a GTX465 or GTX470. Since you are ready to hack and overclock it, which one will be a better investment? Surely the GTX465 is a better choice as for the majority as most of them unlock to a GTX470 and most can still overclock a nice amount, pocket the rest of the money and spend it on something else. This is how I try to look at phones as well, sure you can get the top of the line phone but really, isn't half the fun hacking it and making it do what it wasn't supposed to do?

yeah... I wouldn't be happy if I saw that on one of my phones, screams low built quality.

Depends what you are looking for in a phone really. Sure its a nice (if not brilliant phone) but it has its flaws as well. If you are after top of the line, I don't think its the time to buy.

LOL, the phone is not even a year old and most people have to have them for 2 years before they can get a new one. I bought it in January when it was already like 6 months old, but I didn't even really "buy" it. It was free with a 2 year contract since the Thunderbolt was about to drop. That being said the Droid X is still better than most current "new" hardware out there.

Whoa.....
A. I own or have owned or have used extensively (read 24hr +) an HTC G1, HTC HERO, HTC Evo, Droid/milestone, Droid X, Samsung Epic, Samsung Vibrant, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4.... Believe me I know all the skins of android that there is to know (well not exactly all but a large portion). No sense is sluggish and eats up battery life. Turn it off, viola life is better. Same for touchwiz, which cant be turned off, but after rooting it can much less of an annoyance.

If you depend on manufacturer updates, you're about as stupid (not aiming this at you) as someone who buys alienware pcs. My friend has had 2.3 for a very long time... On his vibrant that is.

And btw, no not all 465s unlock. That would have best been served by 6950 and 6970. Which still isn't true here.

You're really comparing, oh hey guise, should I get a 5870 (Droid x) to a 6990 (samsung galaxy s2).

Sure man why not, go ahead.
