GTX 480 SLI - Liquid Cooling?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if I will need to go with liquid cooling if I want to make a rig with two GTX 480's in SLI mode? I am even wondering if a GTX 480 and a GeForce 9800 GTX+ PhysX card will need liquid cooling? From what I am hearing, the GTX 480s tend to run really hot.. So with two cards side by side I'm just not sure if I would run into problems? The case would be a Corsair Obsidian 650D.

Thanks,

Thanks,
That 800d will choke the 480s (especially the top one which will probably hit 100c).

Watercool as soon as you can.

Hmmmm... watercooling can get expensive...
Maybe I'll wait for the newer GTX cards.. I should be able to get more performance, plus not need to go with liquid cooling for SLI

Thanks
