Need a new cooler, advice needed - Page 2

920 poses two main problems. Price and noise when pushed higher. It's not a big problem on the 620 since it's single fan, and has weaker fan, but the 920's fans when you really want it to beat a H70 in performance can go over 60db. Not worth it, it's price is the same is almost a low level Rasa kit (which is about $10 more to a 920 - quieter and far better performer too).

The 920 is impractical even with the ability to set your own custom profile software that comes with it. It's either too loud (when pushed that high), or too expensive, the only good it did was force Corsair to drop the price of the H70 a bit. There are better alternatives if one wants to save money. 620 is imo one of the best options the op has if he wants to go LCLC.

You are correct-the 920 does get noisey-but will match the h70 with about the same nois level-only gets noiser when pushed past that limit, and as far as the antecs fans-there pretty dam good-even there static pressure on the fan with the 620 beats out the gentle typhoons. But ya at this moment for great quality and realy good performace Vs cost the 620 hands down wins. And the noise is very doable.
