LOL, I love how it's all backwards now. Apple is replacing the CPUs in their laptops, where high performance is needed, with ARM processors, which are more than 20x slower than even Core 2. Now, they want to bring X86 into highly mobile devices, but Atom has too much power draw to be useful.
None of this makes sense. This is the exact opposite of what they should be doing.
I really don't understand why on earth Apple would decide to switch their notebook CPU's to ARM. The last ULV Core series of CPU's was already quite interesting while providing adequate performance and great battery life (in the ballpark where Apple is renowned for), and now with 22nm tech, Apple will probably have a great chip from Intel to put on their Macbooks and Macbook Air. If they go with ARM is is solely because that way they can control the environment better.
