That sucks, the HDD isn't even that old. Here are the warnings for the Seagate 500GB:

ID | Current | Worst | Threshold | Data | Status

(05) Reallocated Sector Count | 100 | 100 | 36 | 3 | warning
(0A) Spin Retry Count | 100 | 100 | 97 | 1 | warning
(C4) Reallocated Event Count | 100 | 100 | 36 | 3 | warning
(C7) Ultra DMA CRC Error Count | 200 | 200 | 0 | 1 | warning

I did also run an error scan on the HDD and it came up with 0 errors, all blocks were okay, so what should I do? Should I run a benchmark? New drive?

The 750GB Samsung has no problems in the health section, I'll still run an error scan on it.

Okay so I checked the Seagate website for firmware updates and they require you to run some things to determine if you need an update. I downloaded SeaTools and checked my S/N to see if it requires an update and it doesn't.

Also ran a S.M.A.R.T., Short Generic and Short DST test, all passed.
