Your CPU is the reason your low fps. 1.6Ghz isnt enough for todays standards. Your GPU isnt verry good for newer games but it will get you by. Also, you could use some more ram.

If you want to play with decent fps your going to have to lower your settings or upgrade your system.

i get 60+ at 1080p maxed but on some of those snowy levels and in intense situations i briefly dip to 30-45 depending on how much action is going on.

The major bottleneck is ur cpu. a 1.6Ghz cpu isnt going to play bc2 well because its a very cpu dependant game. Ur graphics card isnt the most powerful one either, making a cpu upgrade would be wise if you really wanted to play at acceptable fps.

yeh on my pentium D 805 - 1gb RAM - ATI 4850 - the game was unplayable too

you need a decent dual core and decent RAM for this game to run
post #6 of 74
Looking at your CPU, that could be the biggest problem. BCII is unplayable on my backup rig, and thats a dual core at 2.8GHz

Battlefield is one word.

Your system is not very powerful, hence the low FPS.

If your asking about why you have low FPS then its because your PC needs more processing power.

If your posting thinking you maxxed out with 1x AA... try 16->32x min, and at 1920*1080+

Moar CPU powa first, GPU afterwards. Then RAM. BC2 is one of the more heavy-hitting titles lately. Nowhere near Metro 2033, but still tough to play.
