Battle field bad company 2 FPS - Page 3

BC2 is a more cpu intensive game than the most others. So don't be surprised, 1.6ghz is not enough, maybe even for medium settings (for 50+fps)

Theres no way that's real, I think subtracting 10fps from those numbers is more believable.. oh well, 'don't matter.

Maybe at 640x480.... there is no way that system is maxing out BC2 at 18-29FPS with those spec.

Well. He is not truly maxing it out. On dx9 and with AA and AF disabled ( AA1x meant no AA at all in DX9 if I remember correctly ).

Add a low resolution too and he might get it.

On a 1.6GHz dual-core, 9500GT, and 1.5GB? No.
I just put up maxed out at 1.5ghz screenshot at 1366x768 windowed. That 9500gt is about same as my main card.
He could actually get 45fps with it if he'd just overclock to 2.6 or 2.8 ghz which a dual core 2140 will do.

You guys don't understand these things because you ran into windows 7 and stuck with it. It makes your hardware slow. It's really pathetic that people get 100 percent gpu utilization with bfc2 on a 460 or 470.

Of course if he installed windows 7 on the computer. None of that matters. His fps would just go to trash. Windows 7 is drug tolerance measuring. Putting you in a constant hardware need glut and maintaining it. I expect windows 8 to be a good 20 percent slower to sell more bulldozers and ivy bridges.

1900xt and 7800gt destroy most modern games. But not with windows 7.

They should call windows 7 beast of burden extra straw on back edition and windows 8 chicken neck weight edition.

Most people here memeing the same thing are probably born in the 1972 to 1984 pluto in libra group. These people are unable to form relationships that are balanced and equal in power. They simply try to make everyone an ego extension of themselves or allow everyone more powerful than they are to make them an ego extension. They confuse their own needs with other peoples needs readily and easily. They will say things like we need to do this when it's really I need to do this. They are called the we generation by some.

Didn't you think it was weird how nobody adopted windows vista for testing because it was just tooo much trouble to set up equipment with it constantly freaking out about genuine and junk everytime you changed a few pieces of hardware. Now everyone uses windows 7 and windows 7 only for testing and never tests back and forth between windows and vista and xp. A little bit of hassle herding goes a long way to getting us into this windows 7 mess we are in.

A black hole of dissatisfaction to get sucked into.

Do you have any idea how much junk is in DX9? Just look up "cap bits".
Do you know how unoptimized XP is? The OS was developed in the late 90s. Huge changes in technology were patched in and not built from the ground up.
