I wanna make a comment:

If you just use it for gaming, then get the 1GB HD6950, it's the best bang for the buck.

However, if you also do Photoshop work, or use CAD/Premiere Pro or any other software that support GPU acceleration (or plan to), then get the GTX 560Ti SOC, it'll let you do your work faster.

Lol @ the ATI HD6950 owners saying their card is faster when in fact it's not...

I would get the GTX 560, you can OC it up to 950Mhz, maybe more and get another 20% out of it.

Whoa there my friend. Before your statement leads to anymore misinformation being spread, lets prove what you said was a falsehood.

Here's a fairly conservative review for a 1GB 6950 vs a 560ti and the 6950 cleary edges the 560 out as has been stated.

Here's another thread similiar to this one located right here on OCN

Bottom line is simple: NVidia offers PhysX and CUDA while having less raw horsepower (ROPs, SPUs, etc) than AMD cards which offer Morphological AA, which works on games which don't support AA, or even in games like Two Worlds 1 and 2 which cause some odd glowing effect around the edges of objects. It also supports SSAA officially (Nvidia has a 3rd party program that unlocks this, it doesn't appear to handle it exactly the same).

In addition and very relevant to this, nearly every 1st gen 6950 2GB unlocks to 1536 SPUs which slaughters a 560 and goes pound for pound with a 570. The 6950 is the way to go hands down when it is 2gig and edges out a 560 in most cases in the 1GB flavor.

What are you talking about? My GTS 250 can do SSAA without any third party program.

Just get whatevers best Price/Performance for you..

ATI Drivers are okay, with my 5750 I would usually stick to one that didn't give me any troubles and tread water whenever a new driver comes out. Be ready to roll it back as they released some god awfull drivers cough 10.11 cough.

Nvidia Drivers I have had no problems, there cards may seem a bit pricier but 9/10 are worth it

560v6950? 6950 For sure, great cards for the money.. Buy a reference one if you want to unlock Shaders..

get hd6950 2gb/1gb if u r only into gaming....
get gtx 560 if u r into photoshop, encoding, decoding using cuda etc etc....
and about driver problems....both companies have their own share of problems although ati/amd has a bit more.....
but it should not be a big concern if u r not going crossfire......
