Well said, and this is why every step forward in the battle of reducing input lag is needed imo. I've seen younger players (often AWPers in CS teams at the age of 16 to 18) hit click reflex speeds of 70 to 80 ms btw. I'm hovering around the 150 to 200 ms mark, I'm getting old and I'm a rifler. I just have an insanely fast flick xD

I wish we had more developments in terms of max tracking speed and input lag (for any hardware really, monitors as well) rather then the DPI war.

What would really improve the speed of the mouse is FireWire, the architecture that allows to directly modify the ram memory would speed up the process of moving the cursor.

You wont see USB 3.0 for awhile. Not exactly practical atm.

I suppose so, although once we do and its potential becomes fully utilised I think we'll have pretty much hit the limit of "noticable" delay on mice/keyboards as far as USB goes, at least if these theoretical figures are true. After that it's all about getting rid of other causes of input lag (monitors, ...).
