Will 1066mhz RAM work in Asus P5ND

Now I have been on the Asus website but wondered if it was possible to install DDR2-1066 in and it would underclock it to 800.

The Memory in question that i want to buy and install is -
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 / 1066MHz / Gold Edition / 4GB Dual Channel

yes it should work in there because i used higher ram in my old pc and it underclocked it 800mhz

but it did give me a lot of room to overclock it with ram speed that was ent to run at 1066mhz !

You are a legend because this now means i can have 8GB of RAM in my PC now so hope to see a decent difference.

it should work, from what i know is that only DDR2 or DDR3 and etc is important, the rest is almost backward?

The comp i replace was a P5N-D with OCZ 1066 memory4gb. With the cpu (E8400) running at 4ghz the ram was running at 1066. So yeah 1066 memory works fine at 800mhz.
