Have you tried a battlefield game? If not then i suggest you picking up BFBC2
It's a good game but it was released too early. Some of the major things that got implemented later ruined the game for who ended up having to wait months for simple insquad chat. However it didnt make it not a fun game for most of us.
Gameplay is different from a run and gun game like COD. There is a bit of tactility and team work to the game. The class system in my opinion makes the game totally worth playing.
battle field three should be very close to BFBC2 but just more revamped and etc. So for most of us who enjoyed battlefield games we preorder them knowing we will get out moneys worth.
Who can not love a huge map that will have a 32v32 gameplay. It will call for sniper infestation or noobtubing the heck out of capture points. Maps will be big but if they are separated into sections like BFBC2 then i dont see a problem with big maps.
However i am sorry that you are no one of those people.
