What are the BIOS post codes (beeps)? Does it even get to those codes(beeps)? If it doesn't, it is your motherboard, if it does, then most likely your video card, the next in line is the ram, then the psu, then the cpu. Try the old video card too

I suppose he could reset CMOS but it is probably a moot point.

Although, I would like a clearer discription of exactly what (if anything) occurs when OP presses the power-on button, it sounds like a power issue, ie., PSU or load. May have bumped something while installing new graphics card I guess but OP denies this.

Tested PSU, it works.
Also, someone recommended me to test the motherboard in cardboard, to see if the case is somehow shorting out the mobo. Should I try this?

If you never moved it, and don't think you dropped anything under it that would be making a connection, there is no point. It's not something that just happens over time.

Have you tried the old video card?
