Hey, if the following is to be believed, my estimates might even be on the high side:
AMD always prices comparable chips just a little bit lower than Intel. If you ignore the 3DMark Vantage score (discrete HD 6670 vs Intel's joke of a GMA HD 3000), the PCMark Vantage score of the i7-2600K is around the same as the 8-core FX.
Basically, I just expect to see the following match-ups:
i3-2120/i5-2300 vs FX-4110
i5-2500/2500K vs FX-6110
i7-2600 vs FX-8110
i7-2600K vs FX-8130P
One good thing about Bulldozer, given the way it was designed, after they've mostly recouped initial costs, it probably won't be as expensive to manufacture as Phenom II.Edited by rui-no-onna - 5/5/11 at 7:08pm
