Where in WoW do you fly around in space blowing up starships with lasers exactly?

etc..
The only space flight I have seen in SWTOR is a tunnel shooter arcade style flying mini game where you don't really control the flight of your starship you just dodge asteroids and make suggestions to the path of your ship. As far as I know there is no free flight in SWTOR.

This is a complete fail in my opinion... I would love it if the space universe was as free and massive as EVE. That would make me drool over this game.

Whats to say there won't be in an expansion? Come on...... You know EA has to milk this... I can't readily think of an mmorpg that hasn't had an expansion. Let me ask u this.... If you wanted to milk another $50 out a SWTOR player.... What do you think would be the easiest way? Maybe offer them a expansion that allows for free flight? It might not be the first expansion.... but I can hardly not see it ever happening. The geniuses at EA don't inhale before thinking of how to make another dollar.

SWG had awesome space gameplay.

It didn't have the scope of EVE, but there was quite a bit of depth between building your ships, combat, etc. It was especially neat bringing guildmates into your ships to man turrets and such.

Trailer doesn't give you a very good idea of what it was like in public, but still.

Its starwows : attack of the generic mmo!

Sure it does a few of its own things, but its still at its core a dps/tank/healer focused PvE with sith warriors killing 10 rats and then delivering packages for other people.

Sure it has a story, but guess what the story does not last forever, and then you are left with the same old gear grind involving a healer, a dps, and a tank.

Anyhow, everyone knows the force hasnt got anything on the schwartz.

If this game doesn't interest, why keep posting in the threads dedicated to it? There are people who actually do like the standard MMO template. I'm playing Rift now which isn't much different from the formula EQ gave us and I'll be playing this too. Why insist on posting your opinions on the game when you just say the stuff over and over?

For anyone who played pre-CU/NGE Star Wars Galaxies, this, and every other mmo, are all boring ****ty games.

for the same reason people come in here and say omg jizz. cant wait for this game.

I had interest in the game originally, but everything i have seen proves the game is not truly a bioware game, but EA pushing bioware to make.

Honestly, the original star wars mmo fit the universe perfectly, but this mmo is nothing but a mockery of the IP. I dont recall Someone healing luke skywalker while he bought his boss battles.

This. However, I have a hard time seeing this as worse then post NGE SWG. The NGE tried to turn SWG into something it was never designed to be: Quest based and loaded with Jedi. This failed miserably. This at least is designed from the ground up around Jedi's being common and a quest system.

Being better then post NGE SWG is nothing to brag about :-/

If this game had a player run and created economy, and player run and created buildings/cities it would be awesome. Actually I'm pretty sure thats all any MMO needs to be awesome; everything else is icing on the cake.

My last statement also explains why WOW ect. are lacking any substance.
