Touche, I do think that these are perhaps going a little bit too far, but it's their computer, their rules. You can't rent a computer and complain about it. Buy it if you're worried about your privacy. Or at least format it.
I disagree completely.
Unless they signed something which outlined: "by the way, when you rent a computer from us we reserve the right to open up the camera and see what you're doing at any time".
Would it be okay if you rented a bed, with a camera in it, which they could access remotely?

They prey on the lack of credit of those who have to resort to renting to own.
