[SOLVED] FAH GPU Tracker v2 - Window placement problems

post #1 of 8

URGENT HELP NEEDED!

I chose in the options to remember window location... now, after minimizing to my taskbar, it simply will not maximize in any visible place on desktop! I have some settings to change before the CC kicks off and I have no way to enter the settings menu!

Open TRACKER CONFIG.txt located in the CONFIG subfolder. Then find this line:

SaveLocations=True

Change it to:

SaveLocations=False

And save the file. This will disable window location save/load so you can get into the menu again.

Thanks again Jedi!

Is this a known bug?

I have never seen it happen myself so it's not "known" in that sense, but I have seen other users with this problem.

That said, it is mentioned in the readme that the Tracker doesn't do any kind of check to see if the saved window location is actually on-screen. This should only affect users with multiple monitors that change their display config. (so that an absolute point that was once on a screen isn't anymore)

The only thing I can think of that would cause this otherwise is a user with extra "monitors" enabled via dummy plugs.

Going to piggy back on this thread...

Any idea why the console windows are showing?
It happened to me when I had to check out the tracker for questions then a few had the same issue.

Well it wasn't just me, it was like 3-4 others that had that problem yesterday.

Uncheck "Disable hiding clients" in the config, that should be the only way to get visible console windows.
