I was wondering what size CPU cooler can be housed in one.

If any owners would provide input that would be great.

I am thinking about an NH-D14 or Silver arrow if they fit in it.

Thanks in advance.

I have the K7B and the Xigamatek Dark Knight fit with plenty of room to spare. I think you'll be good.

Case is junk though... I built a rig for a customer in one and the power button broke in a week. It also seems like it is made worse than my Cooler Master case... Thinner plastic and cheaper metals.

I can certainly attest to the case being not of as high quality as other Lian Li cases, but nothing on mine has broke and it works great, cools great, looks great, and has great cable management.

However depending on the price there are certainly other cases I would prefer.

I got it for 69.99 so we will see if it was a waste of money.

I just built a system with this case and have the Noctua NH-D14 installed. It fits fine. However as I'm working on running my system at 4.3GHz I have found that the case fans are inadequate for exhausting the heat from my i7-2600K with Prime95 running. Right now I have the case cover removed next to the heatsink and that has dropped max CPU temps about 10 degrees C. So at the very least I'll be replacing the single 120mm exhaust fan on the rear.

UPDATE: Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh! Damn was I stupid! I was in a hurry when I installed the NH-D14 so when I put it in as a 120mm fan "pull" configuration (at the back of the case next to the Lancool exhaust fan) I forgot to check the D14's fan direction. Sure enough it was backwards so it was fighting the case exhaust fan. My bad, but go easy on me here! I could've kept my ignorance to myself, but since I knocked the fans on the Lancool case I figured I'd better confess! CPU temps are now better than ever (no surprise!) with max core temp of 66C after 45 minutes running Prime95.

I like this case - hardly any plastic on it. I built two systems a few years ago with ths case and they have worked great. Nowadays I think the design is a little dated (Power Supply on the top and no cut out for CPU cooler)..but it cools well.

One thing I did is dremel out the exhaust opening on the case - it has an unnescessary restrictive grill - and just recently I moved my HD into the 5'25" bay.

These two mods will give you pretty decent cooling I think. First I ever heard someone call this case junk. I had used Antec cases prior to these two (I had a Sonata and P160). It's these cases that have made me a Lian Li believer.

My next case is going to be a real Lian Li - like PC-9f - which is pretty much an updated version of the K7b. I don't know how someone managed to break the power button.. I mean how often do you hit that button?
