UV blue.

Thread Starter
Alright i bought some UV black/Blue dye for my setup. After adding it i come to realize that it has nothing UV about it. Even with pure die under UV light it does not glow at all. and all it did was turn my black, that after a month has passed it is now a light grey.

So anyways, I am looking for a UV blue dye i can add to my loop to give it the bright UV blue i am looking for? I have 2 UV light bars in my case.

Get rid of it. Put fresh liquid in there without die. So many cases where the die has killed both the res, tubes and pump over a short period of time for many users.

primochill makes some blue tubing that is UV reactive, i use it just use distilled water, the reservoir will be clear, but your pump/blocks/tubing will love you for it and the outside of your tubing will still be reactive. win win, if you ask me
post #6 of 9
If you want color use colored tubing, not dye. Just say no to dye.

I use their UV red which looks more like pink under uv light but its a great quality tubing. I have had 0 issues with it. Its a bit stiffer than other tubing but that is really no big issue. Just though I would share my experience. Dye sucks it gums up loops frequently although some get lucky and don't run into this issue. You can by all means use dye if you want but you have been forewarned about the consequences.
