These are my tweaks for FF:

browser.cache.disk.enable
browser.cache.disk.parent_directory /Volumes/RamDisk
browser.cache.memory.enable = true
browser.cache.memory.capacity = 65536
browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers = 0 (enabling this would consume tons of ram)
browser.ctrlTab.previews. = true (Ctrl+Tab preview mode)

layout.css.visited_links_enabled = false (prevents css exploit to view your history)
network.http.sendRefererHeader = 0 (prevents tracking of where you came from)

I use a RamDisk for cache and disable storing previously visited pages(sessionhistory) in RAM which can easily lead to 2GB+ of usage with 20+ tabs open after many hours of usage.

If you don't enable disk cache, you won't be able to grab flash videos out of the cache for example on sites that don't offer a download link such as Hulu. 32 MiB isn't enough to store those 200MB+ flash files. Not everyone needs this though. I'd recommend the Fasterfox extension which does a lot of these tweaks and more.
