Thread Starter
I'm trying to unlock my Phenom II X2 555 BE to a Phenom II X4 B55

I have a 870-G45 Mobo. (Bios v2.61)

Unlock Cpu Core: Enabled
ACC: Auto

It unlocks to an X4, and POSTS, but during windows boot it crashes and upon next POST says Hyper transport sync flood error....any suggestions?

1.4v max 1.55v
for me 1.4v gets me 3.2Ghz to 3.8Ghz
1.5v gets me 4.0-4.2ghz
also turn off cool and quite that sometimes doesn't let you unlock the cores
then turn off core 4 see if that works if not your cores aren't stable enough to be running.

Good luck

with volts dont' be so worried your cpu can take about 1.55v max so just dont' go over that.

right now try unlock all x4 @3.2 Ghz at 1.425 volts

and oh btw i you have a stock cooler i would get something better first because most of the time unlocking genarate alot of heat.

Mobo goes from 1.420v to 1.431v (nothing in between, tried with both voltages, same error)

Im going to go out on a limb and say they are not stable at all.

Instead I'll try to OC my x2 555 BE.

Yes, I'm using stock heat sink. AC is on 24/7 here and room temp stays at 21c.

(AC vent is on the ceiling directly above my desktop.)

Hypertransport signals CPU-NB to me...
Bump the CPU-NB voltage up,if that dont work, lock the 2 cores back up then unlock individually.

you should be able just to bump the vcore up to about 1.35 to stabilise your 555 as a quad, going to 1.4 and over is not required. The stock cooler will hold you back OC wise, but it does divert air to the mosfets on your mainboard, which will be needing it.
