Bump the CPU-NB voltage up,if that don't work, lock the 2 cores back up then unlock individually.

you should be able just to bump the vcore up to about 1.35 to stabilize your 555 as a quad, going to 1.4 and over is not required.

Tried both extra cores individually at 1.356-1.55 vcore with no avail. I'll try the cpu-nb thanks.

Lol, I was just in the process of prime95'ing my OC. (3.6GHz) so far stable for the past 15min sitting at 50c with stock heatsink.

But an unlocked core was my goal for today (if possible) so I'll try the CPU-NB voltages.

same as the rest of the CPU,1.55v is the limit,1.45v is the accepted 'safe' limit

i really would suggest you get a fan on your mosfets before turning the volts up any large amount,MSI boards are known for VRM failure. However, i am not sure if this applies to your specific board.
This is not to scare you, rather to give you an insight, there are threads about this issue.

the smell of burning VRMs is hard to get rid of....

mosfets? And i just got done trying all the CPU-NB voltages up to 1.55v. No luck. Guess it's just not stable.

Yup, just did . Going back to my 3.6GHz OC and prime testing. I may go lower than 3.6GHz.
