That's going by the first post btw. So Athlon etc, no dedicated card though. But I would assume the card with this mobo is better than an Nvidia 7200
I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Also, could upgrade the CPU to http://azerty.nl/0-1127-309110/amd-p...-3-3-ghz-.html

Would hit you right at 300,-

EDIT: was looking for the Intel counterparts, but Azerty doesn't seem to sell any proper 775 socket boards anymore. So I'll check Salland.

EDIT: I checked, not going to be cheaper, due to not having the same cheap cases+PSU's.

Meh, my Dutch doesn't go much beyond Hoe gaat het met U? and ordering my usual visstick en fritje (no saus samourai AUB ) at the frituuren.
AthlonIIx2 are quick little chips, and should be plenty, which would leave more money for the rest, a cheap 9400 or 5450 would be easily enough. Heck, even the onboard GPU from the chipset will be enough.

Dutch people to the rescue! Dank je wel jongens!

Those lists are very helpfull..I was looking at these x4 Athlons, but they are quit OK for basic needs. Just don't want too old stuff for my sis, this pc that she has now is from 2007, so it at least should run another 4 years, before she has to get a new one.

Well, you could always throw in that X2 Phenom instead of the X2 Athlon, but honestly, I'd suggest picking up a cooler and overclocking it or simply overclocking it on the stock cooler as far as you can push the temperatures.

Hmm that Ph 2 560, can it unlock to a X4 ? I see it's possible with a 550 or 555 ? I have to look for a MB that can do that automatically. I think the GPU is actually indeed not a real big issue, a cheap model 5000 or maaaybe a 6000 series card is indeed a good option. Will have a look at Alternate and Tweakers.net Pricewatch.

You could build a phenom ii x4 rig with integrated graphics (890gx):

Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (890gx) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128435

Phenom ii x4 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103921

G.Skill 1600 mhz DDR3 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277

Rosewill Challenger Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147153

Corsair 430 watt psu - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139017

Western digital HD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136073

Total Price: ~294 euros before ~7 euro rebate

This PC would actually be a decent gaming computer too.

I'd second a dedicated GPU, something at least like a 5770 or GTS 450, my missus used to play Sims 3 on my rig and it wasn't exactly smooth framerates with high settings in all scenario's.

The character creation part will push your GPU to it's max temperature threshold also, I found.

sorry, forgot you can't use newegg in Europe. Here's a similar build on azert toaling ~350 euros.

http://azerty.nl/0-1127-389872/amd-p...-3-2-ghz-.html
http://azerty.nl/0-750-399202/g-skil...eheugen-4.html

http://azerty.nl/0-1044-225954/coole...-310-midt.html
http://azerty.nl/8-857-26024/seagate...ffer-8-mb.html

the only difference is a kinda crappy cooler master 310 case, and a small seagate 80 gb 7200 rpm sata drive.

you could always reuse the case and hdd though.

Hehe funny stuff, never imagined that this would take so much GPU power
Luckely my misses is never ever playing GPU intensive games, she only plays Bejeweled 3 and more of those or she plays games on the iPad..nothing more..I am the gaming maniac here
