Old cheapo system upgrade

Thread Starter
So,
I got this old system in 2006 with a mobo that seemingly only accepts amd am2 dual cores like the athlon 64 x2, and would get a cheap athlon x2 5000+ for 20euro(think like 25-30$) that someone is selling. My old one is an athlon 64 4000+ singlecore. Is this cpu too crappy to make a difference? I will not invest any big bucks in this because this is just a crap system i keep along to run things like a minecraft server and random things.

Mobo manufacturer supported cpus: http://www.foxconnsupport.com/cpusup...2H&cputype=AMD

It is likely to support some other cpus also as long as they dont exceed 90w tdp.
