Flashed 6950's not crossfiring 11.4

Thread Starter
I have two 6950's that I unlocked to 6970's back in January-ish? Anyways I believe I had the 11.2 drivers then and Crossfire worked fine. Upgraded to 11.3 and besides a couple issues with the drivers, again everything worked fine.

Here's my new problem: upgraded to 11.4 and now I have no option to crossfire in CCC. It shows the second card as disabled in the hardware section. GPU-Z shows both cards as detected, so does windows hardware manager and I can feel the fan moving air.

But I can't get it to enable for crossfire. Anyone have a notion of what's going on here?

Will be happy to post screenies when I get home from work if needed.

Thanks.

I suppose the obvious 1st question would be, did you try reinstalling the drivers?

Have you tried shutting down, taking out the 2nd card, booting up to the desktop, then shutting down again, and putting back in the 2nd card, and return to desktop and see if the Xfire options returns?

The drivers might be dodgey with the unlocked 6950's in xfire ofc. Im sure you already know but there has been an uncountable number of problems with peoples 6950's after a few months (varies) after unlocking them, the VRAM in the 6950 is not the same as the 6970's. GL

I did do option number one. No luck, but I reinstalled 11.3 and it re-enabled crossfire =(

The card seems to be fine and I could always swap to the second bois on each card and give that a shot, just didn't tinker with it too much last night. Was hoping maybe someone here on OCN had encountered a similiar situation and could point the way. I'll probably end up going through the typical checklist anyways and find the answer by process of elimination.
