Also how do the HX corsairs hold up to the silverstones, seasonics and the kingwin?

ive heard good things about the HX850...but seems the HX650 and 750 are just kinda run of the mill

They're very good as well.

To be honest, we are really almost just splitting hairs when comparing all these PSU's

Just get the SeaSonic X650.

Fully modular, 80PLUS Gold, one of the best 650W units on the market, and it's $149.99 on Newegg.

i do agree that it is almost splitting hairs...but really at the end of the day there are some psu's that are a lot better in multiple ways...i just dont want to make a costly mistake by buying an Ultra psu (i wouldnt ever do that) and it blowing up my brand new hardware

so i figured id ask the community on here...plus what computer geek doesnt love the challenge of building a computer or parts with certain goals or requirements cheers.gif

Is it safe to call the X-560 the best of the best when it comes to PSUs in that wattage range?
