Black Screen on Startup

Recently I've been having problems with my computer. Problems started occurring when my computer would sometimes work, and sometimes bootup to a blank screen and show absolutely nothing. Now, it's always a blank screen whenever I boot up. All the fans are spinning as well.

I went out and bought a new power supply, that didn't fix it. What could be the problem?

Have you tried resetting the CMOS?

Depends, newer generation motherboards all usually have a jumper. You'd shut down, remove the power cord, remove the jumper from its original spot over the the next spot for 5-10 seconds, then move it back.

Check your motherboard manual for step by step instructions.

Call me a quitter, but I'm done with this computer. It's an outdated pre built, with an LGA775 motherboard and DDR2 memory. I am now sure the problem the culprit is the motherboard, therefore, buying a new one for the outdated piece of junk would be a waste.

I'll be using this 10 year old laptop until I come up with some money for a new computer build (won't be for another year at least, I'm 16 with no job) and I'll hang around this forum until then dreaming about future possible builds.

Thanks, haha.

Sorry, was having dinner and just got back a few moments ago. Sorry I can't provide any further assistance!

Have you tested the PC with a different monitor?
