OC & CPU-Z Validation

Thread Starter
I've OC'ed my PH II x2 555 BE to 3644MHz.

I've been stress testing it in prime for about an hour now, no issues. CPU-Z has been running the entire time. When I go to validate it's rejected. In CPU-Z the core speed only fluctuates by 0.2Mhz.

Are you overclocking using the CPU multiplier or the FSB...cause i see your HT-link is at 2290mhz...that could be adding to instability....OC with the multiplier that's why u bought a black edition cpu

Nevermind, it just randomly validated after the 18th consecutive try.

CPU-Z likes to randomly not validate sometimes, nothing to worry about.

Get a nice cpu cooler and you can push that chip up to 4ghz+ if you got a good chip.
