You need to understand the context.

This was a conference call for investors. This game could be the most hardcore rpg out there, yet the CEO would say the game hits all market segments.

Atleast someone like CD Projekt has shown up to take up the mantle of Real RPGs.

The funny thing is, i made up that quote many months ago, and and it seems to be true.
So you waited for something like Homefront, but wont give a new sequel to an amazing game series from an awesome developer the time of day?

Reading that "quote" not one part of it sounds like it's anything but a huge joke. Seriously, after how fun ME1 and 2 were, and how many millions of people enjoyed it do you think they would completely cut out 99% of the game?

maybe, look at dragon age 2.

Freaking have the quests are items you find and return to people. Those dont even count as real quests, there is no dialogue, you find a lock of hair and somehow know where to return it. Why are you worrying about that lock of hair in the first place.

They reuse the same maps over a dozen times. Half of the time the way you solve a quest actually changes nothing. They give you 3 options maybe more, but all of the end exactly the same.

Lets not talk about the dialogue for the game. It seems to have been written by a group of the developers teenage kids.

Then they gave the kids lead design over art in the game. Seems like Spikes are a great way to make enemies cool, The more spikes on the enemy, the tougher they are. How about the joke darkspawn, they were to lazy to even add genlocks, or alternate skins for various darkspawn. Same goes for all the other enemies, you are killing the same damned hooded guys the entire game. ***, was there a freaking sale on them. All the bad guy groups in the game decided to buy in bulk.

I know a great way to handle all the encounters in the game. Lets just throw waves at the player, and when thats done, lets do more waves of enemies, and if you up the difficulty we tack on another dozen waves also. Oh a boss fight, i know how to handle that, lets just have 1 hero hold aggro and run in circles while the rest rape him, and if he changes aggro, then just the new one in a circle.

exploration??? you enjoy that. well now enjoy a freaking liniear path with a spot to the left and to the right with some loot for you.

Honestly, if that is the best Bioware is capable of now, then Gaming is seriously screwed. So, yes my OP was a joke, but it wasnt one by much.

Bioware is nothing but a running joke now. I blame EA tbh.

CD projekt is going to prove real RPGS still exist, and i thank them for it, and laugh at the Joke that is now Bioware.

I think you may be jumping the gun - but we will see. I'm hoping ME3 will be good, I expect... I expect something better than ME2 (Good) but not as good as ME1 (Excellent)

One thing i wish they would do with ME is to randomize the dialogue choices so that its not always good response on top, neutral in the middle, and renegade on bottom. Or at the very least take out the stupid color coded options.
In my opinion, mass effect was never a RPG. it was always too linear for me, i enjoyed it immensly either way.

I won't mind if they make it into a call of duty style shooter, if they keep galaxy map and the awesome plot.

In fact, i'd prefer it, mass effect 2 didn't feel RPGY at all, and the shooty felt like crap. Awesome game either way <3
