Why can't credit card numbers be remembered client side? Is there a reason Sony needs to keep them on their servers? Maybe for Qriocity subscriptions, but I wouldn't know about that, I have no idea what it is.

Qriocity is music. Kind of like MS' Zune services.
And then there is PSN Plus as well as Qore subscriptions.

they're likely afraid of people selling their ps3s and having their info still on them. protecting people from their own stupidity.

unfortunately they didn't protect themselves.

It's a crazy world we live in, someone sat on a computer to steal 12,000 credit card numbers. No guns, no violence. Just pure "intelligence". Imagine what an intelligent person will be able to do in a hundred years.

on a side note: GLAD I SOLD MY PS3!! I'd be so pissed if I couldn't play online.
