Just how much power are you looking for? The 5770 is a great card for 110 USD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131330&cm_re=5770-_-14-131-330-_-Product

The 6870 or 5850 would be the next tier of power/price $184 USD after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150506&cm_re=6870-_-14-150-506-_-Product

5770 is NOT a downgrade. It's just not much of an upgrade. You would however be going from dd3 to gddr5.

Get a 6950 and unlock it

For that budget, try to find an HD6950 2GB, unlock it to an HD6970 -> Epic win. smile.gif

That would be a great upgrade. biggrin.gif

With no doubts, I would definitely grab an HD6950 2GB. smile.gif

Buy a second for Crossfire. If not new, then second hand.

No, driver support for the 4000 series of ATI is pretty poor, almost none right now, specially if we consider a Crossfire.

I would go for a HD6950 2GB, better. smile.gif

Ah .. I didn't think of that.
Indeed, a HD 6950 then.
