Is the computer making it to the Windows loading screen?

It's one of the following: There is something in your case causing a short, your PSU is dying/dead, your mobo could be at fault, or it's your RAM.

It may be a faulty switch. I had the same problems myself. Unhook your power switch and touch the headers with a screwdriver. If it stays on, its your switch. Make contact and hold it there if you want it to power down.

Temps are about 30C Idle, no clue about under load.
Everything is stock, No BSOD's at all unless i use my 6870 (I have a 8400GS right now, works fine after turning off and on )
Oh and varied amounts of ram get recognized, 4GB (although CPU-Z said 8gb were installed) for the last few days, now its at 6 after taking everything out and reseting bios... I have 8GB

Some do it some don't.. make sure you have current mobo BIOS. It won't hurt anything except maybe a little extra wear and tear.

It's a well known "problem" and I wouldn't call it a problem.

Once I OCed my system it started doing it. Now it's stopped. Almost every PC I've ever owned has done it at some point.

Strong chance nothing is wrong, no worries.

Maybe bad DIMM. Test each stick or RAM in each DIMM separately?
