I was almost sure of this, but "almost" is not enough.

Why would he care though? Seriously, I can't think of a single situation where a USB keyboard wouldn't work
A ps2 board and mouse handy (not necessarily the main one) are two of the most basic tool to get out of problems.

Obviously who is used to reinstall and/or format when the first problem appears, doesn't need it.

I haven't had to use a PS/2 keyboard for a corrupted OC in years! At least three generations of motherboards for me.

Even my A8NSLI-Deluxe is bootable through a USB Bluetooth Dongle into my Logitech DiNovo Min. I was just goofing around in the bios the other day. 25 feet from my wiring closet to the Living Room.

USB rules. PS/2 drools.

What has to do the bootability with what I'm saying ?

You know, I spend my time fixing PCs and IT infrastructures, not bashing a connection or a keyboard I don't like.

Usually I put my hands in 3/400 PCs per year.

Not three in a life.

You need more items to your statistics.

Yeah...this one is really old. It's growing fungus & shrooms!

Bluecube is a ps/2-to-usb adaptor, not an usb-to-ps/2
Opps, I know that! Don't write things when you're falling asleep at your keyboard.

Anyway, I'm gonna order the USB Deck in a couple of hours. I might email ASUS and see if they can confirm for me a PS/2 keyboard that does work with the P8P67 Deluxe. If I could find a cheap, ****ty one that does the job that would be swell.

Report back if Asus says something. I'm curious what they say.

Tell them I don't blame them for what happened.

I've been wondering about that as I've built my new PC. What did happen? I can't find anything on Google. Why was there a revision?

Intel messed up the p67 chipset. All motherboards had a bad SATA port.

A $1B embarrassment.

I doubt you'll see a Rev 4 for a PS/2 problem.
