Turning To The Dark Side

Thread Starter
It saddens me a little, to announce I am turning to an Apple machine. I'm considering the new iMac, as well as either the Macbook Air, or the Macbook pro. If I were to go with a laptop, I would get the smaller screen version of it, and purchase an Apple Cinema display to work on at home. So, that brings me to a few questions..

I see on most of the laptops, a lot of them don't even touch 2.0Ghz.... What? Is that okay for these Macs? What gives?!

Does my previous idea work(buy a laptop, and larger apple monitor)? I'm sure I'll need a cord for it. Would it run as smooth on the larger display? It's going to be used for heavy duty photoshop'n as well as amateur video editing.

When I bought a Mac i came up with this Pros and Cons list pretty quick...
-Outstanding specs for the price.
-Can easily run games at the highest settings. Ran the Orange Box at a constant 60 fps in video stress test.
-Faster than a black pepper snake
-10 years from now, you'll be walking around thinking, "Oh man that laptop I had was awesome before a raccoon covered in glue rolled onto it and ran out the back door."
-Can handle free AOL trial CD-ROMs from Blockbuster
-By leaning into the microphone and whispering "summon Beacon" THE Mavis Beacon will drive over to your house in a golf cart and teach you how to type much like the pottery scene in Ghost.
-You can put a baseball card in the fan to make an awesome motorcycle noise
-Can be used as homeplate for a local little league baseball game provided the umpire has completed the proper training
-Contains a secret easter egg of renowned actor Dan Aykroyd reading a list of available fonts
-Parental controls to keep my 78 year old dad out of my private affairs
-When plugged in battery lasts forever

Cons: -Doesn't make dial-up noise when connecting to internet
-Will not play laserdiscs
-When not plugged in, battery will eventually die and remain dead until recharged
-Has an "alt" button
-Smells like vomit if you throw up on it
-Can't travel through walls so if I'm upstairs and the laptop is downstairs, guess who isn't watching old episodes of Dr. Quinn on Hulu tonight?
-Doesn't fit in standard American-sized pants pocket

Needless to say, i am sorry for your choice....

Why would you even switch to an Apple? I'm starting to think this thread is trollish? Maybe? Why apple? Why you "need" one?

What did you spected Man? I'll try to help, but you just came to the wrong place to get help about apples... We all know what apple is all about, and most of us here think they suck and its the worst buy in history of all times. Apple is all about their good marketing and the way they easily fool people to buy Macs... That's all. A Mac will NEVER be better then a same price range Pc... NEVER. So yea... that's my opinion and pretty much everyone's opinion on OCN.

If you want to buy a Mac and you have questions I could help.

Then I saw:
