need help with gts450-i have to redo the drivers constantly to fix this problem!

so i built my first gaming computer over Christmas break and everything went great but a few months later my graphics card started to act up so i uninstalled my drivers and redid them and it fixed it. the problem is that in games i will start to see wierd planes pop up out of no where that stretch across the whole map. occasionally my graphics drivers will stop working and crash and it has recently been getting worse. if i try to play black ops or a few other games it will almost always cause this problem and i have been redoing my drivers at least once a week for the past 2 months. i have tried cleaning all of the dust out of my card, all of the fans are spinning. i dont know what else to try. ill try to get some screen shots of what happens the next time it pops up but i was wondering if anyone knows what else i can do to stop this

Sounds like faulty or over heating to me. Do you ever turn up the fan speed before you game or anything? Because what you might be seeing is artifacts from over heating if you keep the fan on auto. If you don't do that then download this, you can adjust the speed in this program

now im starting to believe its something to do with the drivers alone, because i just set the fan speed to 90% in that program and it still had wierd graphical glitches and crashed fallout 3

I had a similar issue in L4D2 but it was just due to a bad download through Steam and a verification fixed it.

But you're having this issue with every game you're attempting to play.

You likely have remnants of old drivers, or the card is faulty.
